Friday's Deal Mail!

(5/7/04)Sorry again everyone for the short dealmail last week. It was a crazy day and, to be honest, I was just glad to squeeze five minutes in edgewise to write it. Some great deals today, particularly if you're looking for digital camera stuff & supplies (big sale on this stuff going on on Amazon right now...)

As always, lets start this sucker off with a bang: If you need a few more basic saute pans/skillets, Amazon has an astounding deal today only a double pan set from KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line. This five-star rated set normally goes for $70, but is, get this: $9.99!!! That's right, its actually 86% off just today. Get it while it's hot! (Actually, you should probably wait for them to cool down before picking them up...) :-) PS - These are a limited supply thing, so you won't be able to order them once they run out of stock.

The second deal is also a fantastic deal, and is just in time for spring. Amazon has the four-star rated Charbroil evenflame gas grill (you know the one...it has a crazy 35,000 BTUs of heat) and includes a side burner selling right now for 56% off. This one is also today only but, if you don't live in Seattle where its raining, you may be able to start using this already. :-) These things almost never go on sale at the beginning of the season and this is a great price. Make sure you check it out.

So my buddy has been dying to trade up to a 4MP camera and has been asking me for about four weeks to keep an eye out for a good deal for him. I finally found one as part of the storewide Amazon camera sale that is going on now. The really highly rated Kodak EasyShare DX6440 (which includes both the camera and a dock to charge it and connect it to your computer) is well worth the amazing price of $299 including free shipping. The dock is a cool feature that doesn't come with a lot of cameras yet, but makes it really easy to flip through pictures in the camera and to transfer them to your computer without messing with cords and other connectors. The pictures are supposed to be great with this one and its also really small and portable. Check it out at almost 30% off.

Even if you don't end up getting the Kodak because you already have a camera, you might want to take a look at the killer deal Canon i860 Photo Printer. This printer produces absolutely beautiful pictures (Out of 75 customer ratings on Amazon, it has an extremely rare 5-star rating.) It normally goes for $200, but between the sale price and a rebate, you can get it now for $109 while supplies last. Take a look at the description on the page - I was definitely convinced.

OK - Two more quick digital camera-related items, in case you need them. Both are memory which, given recent industry-wide price drops, is really getting to be affordable for the really big cards... First, a fantastic price on a 512 MB SecureDigital card at 54% off!

SanDisk SDSDB-512-768 512 MB Secure Digital Card

If you use CompactFlash instead, you are in luck, because there is an even better price on the 512MB in that format. After rebate, you can pick one of those up right now for under 90 bucks!!

As long as you have a new camera, why not take it outside and use it with a friend? If you're planning a fun outdoors trip, its always handy to have a set of those family radios (think walkie-talkies on steroids.) The newest ones us an all new frequency and have a range of nearly 5 miles. They're fantastic to have and are even rechargeable (unlike the older models I personally have.) There's a great deal on the highly rated, top of the line model from Motorola right now that I thought everyone should get a look at.

Now, on to the totally different category of random other stuff that I found in the last week that's at really great prices... For those of you that are just waiting for a deal on a high end KitchenAid mixer, today may be your day. The highly coveted (great word, eh?) brushed nickel 4.5 Qt KitchenAid mixer (big enough for 2 loaves of bread) is on sale for 62% off. This color is really hot right now and the bigger models are rarely discounted like this. I think it must be a special buy (especially since there is no image.) To see what this looks like, compare it to the slightly larger model, which is not on sale: Click here. If ever there were an example of what a good deal this one is, its when compared to the slightly larger version for unbelievable $300 more! Check out the great deal on this here

If anyone still needs a DVD player on the face of this earth, there is a great deal on one that is compatible with both US and some overseas DVDs. This is a really nice, basic unit that is going for under $40. At that price you should get two!

JWIN ELECTRONICS JD-VD130 Super Slim PAL / NTSC Dual Voltage DVD Player

Three more items and then you can go back to all of your productive working... :-) Given all the crazy stories that you hear about identity theft right now, you know you want a shredder. Heck, you need one! If you don't already have one, their is a great, basic, model with four star reviews on sale now for under $15.

MONROE PSO11 Straight Cut Personal Shredder

And the last serious item? How about a killer deal on a pair of pillows from the excellent Pacific Coast Feather company? These 230 thread count allergy certified pillows are machine washable and a great deal at 70% off! (Under $15!!!)
