Friday's Deal Mail!

Hi folks. Before jumping into the deals, I wanted to make sure people saw the Wishlist Holiday Giveaway, where you can win a top
MiniDV Digital Camcorder w/10x Optical Zoom

A very competitively priced toolkit for smaller hands. Some of the language implies women only, but that's clearly not required. Very good reviews - perfect for lots of people and a great price - $10 off the usual. Plus it's in Amazon Theater.

Lightweight Toolkit

I bought a mirror like this at a flea market. A flea market! And I paid twice this. And I'm sure this is better. So since I'm not going back to the flea market, buy this one for yourself. A flea market. Sheesh.

Non-flea-market 8x lighted mirror

Cool-looking binoculars, great deal. This is really a one-day sale, not a we-pretend-it's-$59.95-every-day-kinda sale. This will go away. Sharper Image - ain't that fancy.

Folding binoculars

Bottom line - you will not find a better price on this. If you're looking for an Airport w/Air Tunes, this is the lowest Amazon's had it and the lowest you will find it anywhere. Discerning customers will snap this up.

Apple Airport Express with Air Tunes

Ultrasonex makes a low-cost, high-value competitor to Sonicares and the like (and comes with three replacement heads). The reviews are quite good - if I needed another something like this, I'd buy it. The price is lower today than usual.

Ultrasonex Rechargeable Toothbrush

At $200 I wasn't interested, and the thing hadn't really been tested. But at $129... now it's a gift I'd buy. For myself. Especially if we had carpet. Note that you get an extra $25 off if you buy from Amazon.com, so now it's only $104. Hmmm, maybe I do want it.

Roomba Robotic Vacuum - a funky red

People love their Elphs. They loved 'em before they went digital, they love them now. Me - I liked my first one, and now they're even better, and cheaper - and, again, cheaper today. So you need a digital camera - go for it.

Canon PowerShot SD110 3MP Digital Elph

Without a doubt, this will be THE bestselling item on Amazon for the next 15 years, not that there’s anything wrong with that. You can be the master of your own domain, the king of the castle, baby, when you get your paws on the first two seasons of the greatest comedy in the history of mankind on DVD. It’s not available until Nov. 23, but why not preorder the first two seasons of Seinfeld now, when it’s 35% off list price and not flying off the shelves. Giddyup!

Seinfeld Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD

You’ve probably been hiding in a cave in Afghanistan with that other bearded guy if you haven’t heard about Yasser Arafat’s death. Dennis Ross, Former U.S. Ambassador to the Clinton administration, spent a lot of time in the company of the former president of the Palestinian Authority as well as with the Israeli government, and he put his thoughts to paper in this book, The Missing Peace, available at $12.95 off the cover price. Rest in peace, Yasser, because you couldn’t seem to achieve it in the world of the living.

The Missing Peace

We'll be featuring this over the next few weeks: the Best Books of 2004. I read much of the last two lists and loved them. I highly recommend #9 - Candy Freak.

And finally, ending with a mantra I say every night: "Please God, don't let no rats eat us."

Have a great week!
