How long will it take to organize my home?  Can you provide an estimate?

Every home is different, so we provide a one hour consultation, completely free.  During that consultation we'll work with you to scope out the project and see how big the job is.  At the end of the free consultation, you'll have a good idea of how much it will cost.  We can also provide several alternatives at different prices so you can pick the service that best meets your budgetary needs.

How much do your services cost?

Personworks charges $65.00 per hour.   We can assist you with consulting and advising on organizing the project so you can do it yourself, or we can do all the work for you from start to finish.  We scope the work to accommodate your needs and your budget.

Who actually does the work?

Generally, your project will be worked on by Leslie Straka personally.  If anyone else will be working on your project, you will have a chance to meet and approve them during the free consultation, before the work begins.

How does the process work?

It is actually easier than you might think.  I like to break it down into 5 step process:

Step one:

We look at where you are, where you want to be, and what your goals are.  What are the obstacles holding you back?

Step two:

We examine the things that are in your way of where you want to be.  For example is it having too much stuff, or do you not know what storage containers to put your stuff in?  Then we look at what are the assets you have at your disposal to help you get there.  Do you already have organizing supplies that you can use?  What organizing strengths do you already have?  You might think you have none, but everyone has some that are buried in there somewhere.  When you meet me, I would be happy to point them out to you!

Step three:

We create a plan to get you from point “A” – a disorganized mess - to point “B” - an organized abode.  Then we create the systems that you are going to need and that we have mutually decided on to keep up the organizing long after I am gone.  We know that in future months there may be some fine tuning and Personworks is always happy to come back and do that for you!

Step four:

We implement the plan that we have come up with.  We get our hands dirty and start the sorting and purging process!  Afterwards, we either purchase organizing supplies or use what you have already.

Step five:

We finalize the newly organized room(s) by setting up the systems and reviewing them together.  When that is finished, we celebrate!

What does the one hour free consultation include?  What should I expect?  Should I prepare anything?

The consultation will be an assessment.  I will be going through the areas of your home or office that require organization with you.  I will ask you a series of questions to get to know you and the unique challenges you've had with organization.    This is also an excellent time for you to get to know me and ask me questions.  Be sure not to pick up before I come!  I can help you best if I see how things usually are.

What happens if I hire you?

When you hire me, we first review your options and mutually agree on the scope of the project.  Next, we set appointments for the tasks that we plan to take on, such as organizing the pantry or reorganizing the closet.  Depending on how large the job is and your preference, we may book out for weeks in advance, or go week to week.  After each session we will either be at an ending point or decide to continue.  If it is at a point of continuation, I might suggest a small assignment until our next appointment to keep the organizational flow going.  It is preferable to keep the appointments close together so that there's no chance for things to "backslide" between sessions.
